Pit K9901 – About 50 Acrobatics Figures

In 1999, a rescue excavation revealed 11 unique terracotta figures. These figures have bare upper bodies and skirts, displaying different postures, such as standing upright and holding garments. From 2011 to 2013, pit K9901 underwent a complete re-excavation, resulting in nearly 30 painted figures being uncovered. Currently, 25 of these have been restored, providing valuable insights into the entertainment culture of the Qin Dynasty’s imperial court.

Pit K0006 – 12 Warriors

In the K0006 Civil Official Pit, a total of 12 warriors were discovered, including 8 with their hands folded in sleeves and 4 charioteers. The warriors with folded hands wear long hats, stand about 1.9 meters tall, and have a knife and whetstone hanging from their waists. Originally, these figures were painted in colors like red, green, black, pink, and white. However, due to groundwater erosion and the pit’s collapse, only the faces retained more of the original colors when unearthed.
