The Discovery and Archaeological Journey of the Terracotta Warriors
One of the permanent exhibitions in the Temporary Exhibition Hall focuses on the discovery process of the Terracotta Warriors. In 1974, local farmers accidentally uncovered these terracotta figures while digging a well, leading to large-scale archaeological excavations that revealed this world-shocking marvel. Through photographs, documents, and artifacts, the exhibition provides a detailed account of the challenges and achievements of the archaeological work.
The Craftsmanship of the Terracotta Warriors
Another captivating exhibition highlights the craftsmanship behind the Terracotta Warriors. By displaying fragments of the terracotta figures, molds, and tools, visitors can learn how ancient artisans created these lifelike statues. The exhibition also explains the differences in clothing, hairstyles, and facial expressions among the various ranks and types of warriors.
Temporary Thematic Exhibitions
The Temporary Exhibition Hall also hosts rotating thematic exhibitions, covering aspects ranging from ancient weaponry to Qin Dynasty culture. These exhibitions often collaborate with domestic and international museums, showcasing precious artifacts and artworks, offering visitors a more comprehensive historical perspective.
